Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Product & Technology Communications Manager to shape how our AI-powered products are explained. You will develop messaging, collaborate with product, engineering, research, and modeling teams, and craft narratives that make our technology clear and compelling.

You’ll lead product launches, translate complex concepts for customers, partners, analysts, and media, and work with marketing to ensure consistency across product marketing and developer content.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in product and technology communications, or technical content, ideally in AI, enterprise software, or developer-focused environments
• Exceptional writing with ability to simplify complex technical topics without losing nuance
• Experience partnering with product and engineering leaders and acting as a trusted advisor
• Knowledge of enterprise AI, machine learning, or developer ecosystems and willingness to go deeper
• Highly organized with strong PM skills and bias for action
• Comfort navigating ambiguity in fast-growing environments
• Experience with product launches, technical content development, or developer-focused communications
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships to drive clarity and alignment across teams

Responsibilities

• Develop product and technology communications strategies aligned with Cohere’s goals, roadmap, and differentiation
• Partner with product, engineering, research, and modeling leaders to craft messaging and narratives
• Lead communications around product launches, including messaging frameworks, FAQs, press releases, and executive talking points
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling content for customers, partners, analysts, and media
• Collaborate with corporate comms to drive storytelling that elevates Cohere’s leadership and momentum
• Work with marketing to ensure consistency across product marketing, developer content, and external communications
• Support thought leadership for product, research, and modeling executives
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to refine messaging for technical audiences
• Prepare and support crisis and issues communications related to product, security, or technical incidents
