Clark Associates, Inc. is seeking a Product Owner to partner with our software team and tax stakeholders to manage the tax platform roadmap and backlog.

You will translate stakeholder needs into actionable items for developers, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements. You will own the Vertex O Series integration landscape and collaborate across ERP and internal systems to optimize tax automation.

Formación

• Product Owner or Product Manager experience, ideally in tax, compliance, or finance.
• Domain knowledge of indirect tax and/or exemption/resale certificate management.
• Experience working with agile methodologies, software development processes, or project management preferred.
• Experience with tax engines such as Vertex, Avalara, Sovos is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own and maintain the Tax system backlog in Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Interpret stakeholder needs, translating them into concise work items for the development team.
• Support, troubleshoot, and maintain the Vertex O Series indirect tax platform for accurate tax calculation across environments.
• Optimize Vertex integrations with ERP systems, APIs, and other internal applications.
• Explain the what and why behind work items to participate in refinement and sizing.
• Track legislation changes and update the roadmap to reflect rate/rule/compliance changes.
