Job summary
GCG is seeking a Product Manager to lead the commercial and operational performance of our OEM cable assembly business within the Custom Engineered Solutions division. You will partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive profitability, forecasting, pricing, inventory management, and business intelligence across four locations, supporting more than $60 million in OEM business.
This remote role requires work in the Eastern or Central Time Zone, with quarterly travel to GCG
Qualifications
- 3+ years in product management, commercial analytics, demand planning, supply chain, pricing, or similar analytical role in manufacturing/industrial distribution
- Strong analytical skills evaluating sales, margins, inventory, forecasting, pricing, and operational performance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP and business intelligence systems
- Excellent communication and project management skills with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
- Ability to work remotely within the Eastern or Central time zone and travel quarterly to GCG facilities
Responsibilities
- Own strategy, positioning, and lifecycle of assigned OEM cable/harness product lines and identify growth opportunities
- Translate customer requirements and volumes into product priorities
- Support sales with product strategy, positioning, and technical/commercial insights
- Lead product management for new product introductions and lifecycle decisions with cross-functional input
- Analyze product line performance (sales, margins, pricing, forecasts, backlog, inventory) to identify risks and opportunities
- Develop actionable recommendations to improve profitability, pricing, inventory, and customer service
- Monitor copper and other commodity markets and support pricing adjustments
- Review pricing against approved agreements, inputs, and margin objectives
- Develop dashboards and tools using Oracle, S2K, Excel, and BI platforms for visibility
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Strategic Account Managers
- Present performance and recommendations to senior leadership
