Job summary

Paige, a GCG company, is seeking a Product Design Engineer to develop wire, cable, connectors, and related electrical products. You’ll support the full design process, coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role is fully remote with a preference for Eastern/Central time zones, plus up to 10% travel to customer sites, suppliers, and facilities. You’ll work with engineering, sales, and manufacturing to deliver manufacturable, compliant designs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in product engineering, cable engineering, or closely related experience.
• Knowledge of wire and cable design principles.
• Experience creating, reviewing, or interpreting drawings, BOMs, specs.
• Experience using AutoCAD or another CAD program.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design activities from requirements through testing and production readiness.
• Create and maintain drawings, specifications, BOMs, and purchase specs.
• Apply wire/cable knowledge to develop manufacturable designs.
• Review customer requirements and advise on construction, materials, and compliance.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams for design reviews and approvals.
• Identify suppliers, evaluate materials, costs, and capabilities.
• Develop clear technical and purchase specifications for suppliers.
• Support evaluations, testing, quality reviews, and regulatory listings.
• Gather supplier declarations and environmental compliance records.
• Maintain design/testing/regulatory documentation and records.
• Coordinate design changes and keep drawings/specs current.
