Job summary

Tether Operations Limited is seeking a Product Engineering Lead to steer QV.AC’s on-device AI features. You will lead the app and feature teams, shaping architecture and delivery on real devices. You will partner with product managers, mentor leaders, and ensure high engineering standards while advancing AI capabilities.

This role is remote with global teams and reports directly to the CTO. Ideal candidates combine consumer-product shipping experience, strong product sense, and a practical AI

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineers who ship consumer products, ideally AI-powered apps.
• Strong product sense: distinguish good features from busy ones.
• Intuition for applied AI and on-device constraints: models, latency, memory.
• You use AI tools heavily in your own work and experiment with new models.
• Deep JavaScript and React.

Responsibilities

• Run the app and feature teams day to day: unblock, review, and keep them shipping.
• Set and hold a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and clean APIs.
• Own the technical design of features and the API surface between our AI core and the app.
• Collaborate with AI research and deep tech teams on code reviews, design, and model/inference work.
• Partner with product managers to turn vision and roadmap into scoped work.
• Push back when scope and reality don't match, and propose better paths when they exist.
• Bring an engineering perspective to product decisions, especially on local models today vs tomorrow.
• Help the team move fast, using AI tools and prototypes to validate ideas.
• Mentor team leads to build strong operating systems and improve cross-team collaboration.
• Lead by example: roll up your sleeves when needed and empower the team to own outcomes.
