Job summary

Assurant offers a 12-week Product Analyst Intern program in the United States. You will work on shaping and improving homeowners and condo insurance products, analyzing performance, and turning data into insight while collaborating with Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, and Technology teams.

You will gain hands-on experience with product lifecycle, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration, under mentorship in a startup-style environment backed by Assurant’s resources.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk/Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field. Expected graduation between December 2027 - June 2029.
• Interest in product analysis, business analysis, data analysis, market research, insurance, or product development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, accept feedback, and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analyzing product performance, profitability, customer needs, and market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Help turn data into clear reports, visualizations, and insights for team members and business partners.
• Conduct competitive and market research to support product decisions.
• Support the development of business requirements, user stories, workflows, and product documentation.
• Gain exposure to product changes throughout the development lifecycle, including planning, quality assurance, regulatory filing, implementation, and post-launch analysis.
• Collaborate with teams such as Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, and Technology.
• Help identify opportunities to improve products, reporting, and team processes.
• Participate in team meetings, ask questions, share ideas, and contribute to assigned projects.
