Job summary

Symbotic seeks an NPI Project Specialist to join our Strategic Launch Team within Supply Chain. You will coordinate procurement activities, track cost and schedule, and identify risks early across NPI, retrofit and cross-functional initiatives.

Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management and Category Management to align sourcing with milestones, gather supplier quotes, support product cost models, and ensure aftersales considerations are included as programs move into steady-state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or project management.
• Experience supporting NPI, product development, or cross-functional programs in technical/manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Support program-specific sourcing plans for NPI, retrofit, and other cross-functional initiatives.
• Act as a procurement partner to Engineering and Program Management throughout development lifecycles.
• Coordinate with Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, and suppliers to track sourcing requirements and dependencies.
• Track program-level procurement status, including supplier readiness, cost, schedule, and risks.
• Identify and escalate sourcing, supplier, cost, and schedule risks and support mitigation.
• Gather supplier quotes, pricing, and cost inputs to support product cost models.
• Ensure aftersales considerations (spare parts, serviceability, warranty, lifecycle cost) are included.
• Support multiple concurrent programs and shift priorities with development timelines.
• Assist in transitioning programs from development into steady-state procurement.
