Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Procurement Manager in Lansing, MI to source, negotiate, and manage service providers for outsourced services. You will assist the client or department with sourcing strategies and oversee procurement activities.

You will lead daily team activities, draft and negotiate contracts, evaluate supplier performance, and drive value through strategic sourcing at local and regional levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to convey performance expectations and handle sensitive information.
• Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills and an analytical mindset.
• Advanced math skills for complex calculations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the team’s daily activities and strategy at local and regional levels.
• Evaluate sourcing procedures and propose improvement strategies.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts for goods and services.
• Review contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals.
• Manage supplier certification and conduct supplier visits.
• Mentor on modern outsourcing practices.
• Analyze facility management spend and opportunities for value creation.
• Assist with crafting RFPs and negotiating with national and regional providers.
• Ensure contracts adhere to CBRE standards.
• Lead by example per CBRE RISE values.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day issues in systems and processes.
