Job summary

The Company of New England is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to oversee purchasing for fencing materials, hardware, and supplies across multiple crews and territories. You will manage demand forecasting, vendor negotiations, inventory control, and cost containment to ensure on-time, cost-effective material availability for residential and commercial fencing projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in construction or fencing.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Familiarity with SOS Inventory or similar ERP systems.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience sourcing fencing materials or working in fence/landscape supply.
• Familiarity with job costing and construction billing cycles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and material takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers for vinyl, wood, aluminum, and chain link fencing materials.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery terms to optimize cost and service.
• Identify alternate sources of supply for critical items and mitigate stock-out risks.
