Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing for the Office of Research, drafting purchase orders, vendor onboarding, quotes, and PalCard transactions using KFS and UCIBuy+.

You will partner with faculty, staff and vendors to gather requirements, negotiate pricing, ensure compliance with university policies, reconcile transactions and support audits. Most work is remote with occasional on-campus requests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of procurement processes and policies.
• Ability to evaluate options for cost effectiveness.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read and interpret basic contracts.
• Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement process (POs, onboarding, quotes, PalCard).
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, vendors; gather requirements and negotiate terms.
• Ensure compliance with university/state policies; support audits.
• Reconcile transactions and maintain procurement records.
• Occasional on-campus work; primarily remote.
