Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking a Procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing for administrative and research operations. You will draft purchase orders, onboard vendors, obtain quotes, and process PalCard transactions, ensuring all approvals and documentation are in KFS and UCIBuy+.

You will partner with faculty, staff, and external vendors to optimize sourcing, reconcile transactions, and support financial reporting. Occasional on-campus work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
• 1-3 years related Finance experience.
• Analytical skills to evaluate cost effectiveness of purchasing options.
• Ability to read and interpret terms and conditions of basic contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement process for admin and research operations.
• Draft/execute purchase orders; coordinate vendor onboarding; obtain quotes.
• Place orders (PalCard transactions) and ensure approvals/docs in KFS/UCIBuy+.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and vendors to gather requirements and negotiate terms.
• Reconcile transactions and monthly ledgers; maintain procurement records; support financial reporting.
• Assist audits and update procurement resources; maintain PalCard training records.
