Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician – Remote to support PBM services by handling provider inquiries and processing prior authorizations. You will combine pharmacy expertise with strong customer service in a fast-paced call center.

Role requires 2+ years as a pharmacy technician, CPhT credential, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Remote, full-time with flexible scheduling supports collaboration and continuous development.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in retail, hospital, managed care, insurance, or PBM.
• Active and current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls related to prior authorization requests and provider inquiries.
• Accurately process and document prior authorization requests within required timeframes.
• Provide courteous and knowledgeable support to healthcare providers across multiple communication platforms (phone, email, fax, web).
• Ensure all communications and data handling are compliant with HIPAA and internal confidentiality protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
