Job summary

Pharmacy Careers is seeking a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist to review medication requests from home, apply evidence-based criteria, and help patients access therapies with no commute.

This fully remote role offers predictable day/evening options and no weekend/holiday requirements in most positions. You will contribute to patient access while maintaining regulatory compliance and pathways for advancement into clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Pharmacy required.
• Active, unrestricted U.S. pharmacist license (multi-state preferred).
• Experience in hospital, ambulatory, community, or clinical pharmacy valued.

Responsibilities

• Review prior authorization requests for clinical appropriateness and plan criteria.
• Apply evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards to approve/deny requests.
• Communicate determinations to providers and members with documentation.
• Collaborate with medical directors and clinical teams on complex cases.
