Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to shape the technical direction of our products and lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance software systems. You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver full-stack solutions that meet business objectives.

As a technical evangelist, you will stay current with emerging technologies, review code, and ensure engineering excellence.

Qualifications

10+ years experience in software engineering and leading design of complex software systems.
10+ years experience using JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#, with .NET ecosystem strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Leads end-to-end design and development of software solutions including back-end and integration components.
Collaborates with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define technical requirements, scope, and deliverables.
Provides technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers.
Drives architectural decisions and ensures coding standards and quality practices.
Develops and maintains frameworks, libraries, and reusable components.
Addresses performance, scalability, and technical challenges with cross-functional teams.
Mentors engineers on design and architecture, promoting growth.
Keeps up with emerging technologies and drives adoption of new tools.
Conducts code reviews to ensure quality and stability.
Acts as a technical evangelist at events and communities.
