Job summary

ADNET Systems, Inc. in Greenbelt, MD seeks a Principal Software Systems Engineer / Full-Stack Architect to own GOF modernization.

You will architect, build, and deploy end-to-end front-end, back-end, databases, and cloud infrastructure, while guiding a small development team and collaborating with NASA stakeholders. Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required; US residency for past 3 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 NASA security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Approximately 10+ years of professional software engineering experience at senior/principal level.
• Demonstrated experience leading small software development teams as a hands-on lead.
• Strong front-end development experience.
• Strong core software development skills across multiple languages.
• Proven experience designing and deploying multi-technology, full-stack systems end to end.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and deployment.
• Experience handling sensitive information and PII.
• Experience working with AI systems in production.
• Experience with database management software.
• Track record of iterating on prototypes and bringing them to production.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall system architecture across front-end, back-end, database, and cloud.
• Personally build the core prototype and set engineering standards.
• Deploy the system in a cloud environment suitable for government workloads.
• Protect CUI and PII; apply applicable federal frameworks.
• Incorporate AI capabilities such as reviewer matching and document generation.
• Design intuitive, role-specific UX for expert users.
• Profile and tune performance for submission, review, and reporting workloads.
• Lead and mentor up to two web developers; manage releases.
