Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight builds mission-critical navigation and aviation data software. They seek a Principal Security Architect to own the technical security strategy across enterprise IT and SaaS environments, partnering with engineering, product security and compliance.

This senior IC sets architecture, drives adoption, and measures outcomes while reporting to IT leadership in a fully remote role across the US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security engineering or architecture with enterprise ownership.
• Hands-on with identity platforms and cloud security across data centers, Azure and AWS.
• Familiar with FAA/EASA, DoD or CMMC contexts is a meaningful advantage.
• Proven track record turning risk assessments into shipped engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise security architecture for identity, endpoint, network, cloud and SaaS.
• Design zero-trust access, IAM/PAM, MFA; manage privileged credentials with Okta/Entra.
• Lead detection and response; mature EDR/XDR, SIEM and DLP programs.
• Evaluate security designs for platforms, SaaS integrations and M&A moves.
• Partner with GRC on SOC 2, ISO 27001 and aviation controls; translate findings into engineering work.
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews with product security leaders.
