Job summary

Backblaze, the leading cloud storage provider, seeks a Principal Product Manager for its B2 product to work remotely in the U.S. You will shape strategy, own the roadmap, and drive cross‑functional delivery with Design, Engineering, and GTM teams.

You will interview customers, study market trends, and translate insights into concrete requirements and KPIs. The role focuses on building scalable, cost‑efficient storage solutions that keep Backblaze at the forefront of open cloud storage.

Responsibilities

• Drive B2 product strategy and roadmap development through delivery execution.
• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle from discovery through delivery in feature development.
• Gather and synthesize inputs for discovery and prioritization from internal functions, customers, and partners across the full spectrum of R&D development, including feature capabilities, user experience challenges, cost optimization, and technical debt.
• Translate complex customer challenges into clear, concise, and actionable product requirements in collaboration with Design, Engineering, and GTM teams.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to launch and drive adoption of new products and features.
• Act as a subject matter expert and evangelist for Backblaze’s solutions, presenting to customers, prospects, partners, and internal teams.
• Establish and track key product metrics (KPIs), using data to guide iteration and growth decisions.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the latest advancements in the object storage market, including customer use cases and competitive offerings, to identify new opportunities and ensure Backblaze’s market leadership position.
