Linktree is seeking a Principal Product Designer Lead to mentor a small team of senior designers while remaining hands-on on high‑impact design problems. You’ll set vision, partner with Product, Engineering and Marketing, and drive craft standards as the team grows.

With 10+ years of design leadership, you’ll hire, coach, and scale the design function, translating strategy into shipped product across our creator-focused platform. Base salary ranges $280,000–$310,000 in US markets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years design experience, with proven people leadership.
• Hands-on craft leader who mentors and develops others.
• Strong ability to translate business goals into design strategy.
• Experience shipping across consumer creator platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5+ senior IC designers, fostering craft, ownership, candid feedback, and high performance.
• Personally own and ship design work on high-leverage or ambiguous problems.
• Set design vision and craft direction for your area, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing leaders to align design with business priorities.
• Own hiring and team composition for your area as the business scales.
• Establish and evolve craft standards, critique practices, and design operating rhythms.
• Represent design in cross-functional forums, translating design work into business impact.
• Balance individual craft contribution with management, modeling the standard for the team.
