Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Principal Product Manager to shape the architecture and expansion strategy for data center metro networks. You will own the internal roadmap, evaluate expansions, and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver network investments that drive value.

Remote role open to candidates across the U.S. You will need deep metro network expertise, strong financial judgement, and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in product/program management, network planning, or engineering.
• 3+ years supporting metro, data center, optical, or related network infra.
• Strong metro network architecture knowledge and ROI evaluation.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical programs to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, requirements, and multi‑year roadmap for data center metro networks.
• Translate topology, capacity, and diversity decisions into reference designs.
• Lead cross‑functional expansion programs from evaluation to delivery.
• Evaluate network investments using demand, utilization, and ROI analysis.
• Establish frameworks for upgrading and expanding metro networks.
• Build demand models from contracted demand, pipeline, and market signals.
• Assess current platforms for future growth, considering cost trade‑offs.
• Collaborate with Product, Network Planning, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Sales.
