Ladders is seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer, Cash Line to join a leader in Finance & Insurance. Remote opportunity for US-based candidates, shaping architecture across React Native and native Android with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.

You will partner with product, design, and engineering to translate priorities into a high-quality mobile solution that supports key business objectives. 8+ years of mobile experience and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience focusing on mobile applications with React Native and TypeScript.
• Strong expertise in native Android development using Kotlin and/or Java, with experience launching native apps in production.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-team mobile initiatives or product launches.
• Experience delivering consumer mobile products with a strong focus on performance and reliability.
• Proven technical leadership as a senior contributor, including architecture and mentorship roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary mobile engineer and React Native expert for the team, enhancing code quality and scalability.
• Lead the development and launch of the Android app, aligning technical milestones with business objectives.
• Define the technical direction for mobile architecture across React Native and native Android.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to translate priorities into mobile solutions.
• Promote engineering excellence through leadership, design reviews, and mentorship in complex problem areas.
• Act as the mobile specialist post-launch, leveraging React Native and Android expertise to support the full mobile stack.
