Job summary

LINQ is seeking a Staff Mobile Software Engineer to own the flagship React Native app (iOS + Android) and serve as the senior mobile technical voice across the company. You will set direction, define standards, and mentor contractors, while collaborating with web and backend teams.

This is a mobile-first role focused on architecture, code quality, testing strategy, and release processes, with broad influence on LINQ's mobile ecosystem and platform decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, with substantial depth in mobile application development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent working experience.
• Proven, production‑grade experience building and shipping React Native applications (iOS + Android) at scale.
• Hands‑on native mobile development experience — Swift/Xcode for iOS and/or Kotlin/Android Studio for Android.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for cross‑platform mobile development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technically — setting architecture and direction, reviewing others' work, and guiding contractors or engineers not formally managed.
• Experience owning mobile CI/CD, release processes, and app store submission/compliance (Apple App Store and Google Play).

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical direction for the flagship React Native mobile app.
• Set and maintain mobile engineering standards company‑wide: architecture patterns, code quality practices, testing strategy, CI/CD, release/versioning, app store submission and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to contractor engineers working on mobile: reviewing designs and code, mentoring on React Native and native iOS/Android practices, ensuring alignment with LINQ's architecture.
• Diagnose and resolve the most complex mobile issues — performance, stability, native module, and platform‑specific problems.
• Own production health for the mobile app: monitoring, crash triage, release quality, and app store standing.
• Contribute to the companion web application and backend API as needed to ship cross‑stack features.
• Influence LINQ's broader technical roadmap and strategy as it relates to mobile.
• Actively participate in agile scrum ceremonies and help the team improve its process.
• Mentor engineers on mobile development and foster a culture of technical excellence.
