Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer for its Nuclear Services Group in the United States.

The role focuses on designing mechanical systems for nuclear facilities and DOE projects, delivering high-quality documents, and maintaining compliance with industry codes and standards. You will lead engineering deliverables, engage with clients, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safety and design innovation, with remote work allowed outside 50 miles of Enercon

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with design of mechanical systems for mid level engineer.
• Experience working on Nuclear design projects.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of mechanical calculations.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks if needed
• Thermal-hydraulic and design modification experienced desired
• Relevant energy system design experience (e.g., HVAC, Hydraulic, Piping) preferred
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

• Prepare error-free engineering documents that meet codes and standards.
• Maintain knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Build strong client relationships and produce high quality deliverables.
• Lead projects and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safety and design excellence.
• Engage directly with clients at plant sites to optimize systems and components.
• Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement within Nuclear Services.
