Placements24 is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Software Engineer to lead the physics systems of our game engine. This fully remote role offers the freedom to work from anywhere while delivering robust, real-time simulations.

You will design and implement advanced physics, optimize performance, mentor engineers, and collaborate across graphics, AI, and gameplay teams to push the boundaries of game technology.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with 7+ years in physics programming for engines or real-time simulations.
• Expert-level proficiency in C++ and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of advanced physics for a proprietary game engine.
• Develop high-performance C++ code for physics calculations and collision detection.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical strategy across multiple teams.
