Job summary

Stride Consulting LLC is seeking a full-time Principal Engineer to drive technical direction in a remote, client-facing role, owning architecture and strategy across backend services, frontend applications, and cloud infrastructure while championing AI-enabled tooling and mentoring engineering teams.

You will set and own the technical architecture for client engagements, define best practices for AI-assisted development, and act as a trusted technical advisor to executives, shaping technology

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Full-Stack, Backend, or Software Engineer in senior/lead or architect-level roles.
• Proven expertise in building backend services and APIs using languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby.
• Deep experience with modern frontend applications using React and/or NextJS.
• Strong background in Agile delivery environments, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and integrating AI capabilities into production software applications.

Responsibilities

• Set and own the technical architecture for client engagements, ensuring scalability and performance across backend and frontend systems.
• Define best practices for AI-assisted development and guide teams in adopting AI-enabled capabilities across projects.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to client executives, shaping their technology and AI strategy while building long-term relationships.
