Job summary

Suralink, a remote-first leader in AI-driven accounting technology, seeks a Principal Engineer to shape technical strategy across teams. You will drive architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with executives to align technical outcomes with business goals.

You will influence system design for scalable, available services, applying AI thoughtfully across product and engineering decisions, while guiding teams through complex trade-offs and evolving architectures.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade software or services.
• Experience setting architecture vision and strategy for multiple teams to deliver a common vision.
• Experience driving architectural decisions through their full lifecycle with measurable impact.
• Experience applying AI thoughtfully in product, architecture, and engineering decisions.
• Experience building highly available services at scale.
• Strong communication with customers, peers, and executive leadership.
• Mentoring and guiding engineers to grow technical leaders.
