Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Principal DevOps Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise DevOps, cloud architecture, containerization, software delivery, and automation. The role will establish architecture and engineering best practices and collaborate with development, cloud, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions for enterprise and government programs.

This fully remote position requires 15% travel.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of enterprise IT experience with solution architecture, cloud platforms, software development, integration, delivery leadership, and government program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement DevOps and containerization best practices, software release pipelines, and automation to be leveraged across the enterprise.
• Serve as a thought leader in assessing business needs and current industry best practices and solutions, and matching them to further business goals.
• Lead DevOps engineering teams, promote best practices and excellence, and mentor junior members.
• Define, develop, and implement configuration management for the enterprise SDLC.
• Manage source code in VCS; build, assemble, and package software from source code, mentoring others.
• Collaborate with Cloud Services to install, upgrade, deployments, and containers for team self-sufficiency.
