Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Principal DevOps Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise DevOps, cloud architecture, containerization, software delivery, and automation. This role will establish architecture and engineering best practices, guide complex technology initiatives, and partner with development, cloud, security, and operational teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions supporting enterprise and government programs.

This is a fully remote position with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Full-stack development experience with modern web tech.
• Strong coding skills in .NET 4 and .NET 8+.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Vue.js.
• Proficient in SQL Server and data modeling.
• Strong SQL skills and query performance tuning.
• Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
• Familiarity with OIDC, SAML 2.0, and JWT authentication.
• Experience with AWS services.
• SSRS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement DevOps and containerization best practices and automation across the enterprise.
• Lead evaluation of business needs and map to industry best practices and solutions.
• Mentor DevOps Engineering team to raise competencies and excellence.
• Define and implement configuration management to support the SDLC.
• Manage source code, build, assemble, and package software, mentoring peers.
• Collaborate with Cloud Services for installations/upgrades/deployments/containers.
• Develop automation scripts for build, deployment, and versioning.
• Resolve complex issues in VCS, CI systems, and deployments.
• Oversee large, technically complex projects and ensure service delivery excellence.
