Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Data Leader to design and optimize enterprise data architecture, build end-to-end data pipelines, and manage cloud data warehouses. You’ll integrate DevOps and automated workflows while improving data delivery and analytics capability.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and advance data capabilities to keep pace with AI and modern cloud ecosystems. This role is remote with occasional in-person trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• Six+ years of relevant data experience including ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience in Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and System Architecture.
• Expert SQL and Python
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS and/or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines across source systems and cloud platforms.
• Architect conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support analytics and apps.
• Modernize enterprise data storage, optimize performance across legacy and cloud warehouses.
• Implement DevOps and CI/CD best practices for data pipelines.
• Tune SQL and Python code, optimize orchestration for throughput and latency.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML and advanced orchestration tools into data infra.
