Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Data Leader to design, build, and optimize our enterprise data architecture, driving strategic insights and high-impact business decisions. You will lead end-to-end data pipelines, manage cloud data warehouses, and integrate DevOps into our data ecosystem.

You’ll mentor teammates, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and push for advanced analytics, AI/ML automation, and robust data models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience.
• Five or more years of hands-on ETL/ELT data pipeline development.
• Experience in Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and System Architecture.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Designing and building scalable, high-performance ETL/ELT data pipelines to cloud platforms.
• Architecting robust data models to support reporting, analytics, and applications.
• Managing and modernizing enterprise data storage across Teradata and cloud platforms.
• Implementing DevOps and CI/CD best practices for data pipelines.
• Optimizing SQL queries, Python scripts, and orchestration workflows.
• Evaluating and integrating AI/ML automation and advanced orchestration tools.
