Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Principal Engineer in our Data Engineering Services team. You will be a hands-on architect responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, ingresses/egresses, and downstream feeds critical to enterprise identity and workforce data operations.

You will set technical standards, ensure data integrity, and mentor emerging talent. Fluency with AI-assisted tooling, including Claude, will be a core part of how you design and reason through pipelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering experience designing and building scalable pipelines.
• Experience ensuring data integrity across ingestion, processing, and downstream feeds.
• Ability to mentor engineers and set technical standards.
