Job summary

Amtex Systems Inc. seeks a Principal Software Engineer / Architect to own cloud and AI architecture for enterprise-scale solutions. This remote role focuses on Azure platform engineering, AI/ML design, and governance across multiple programs.

You will mentor teams, translate business objectives into scalable technology, and drive the enterprise Azure & AI roadmap while aligning with security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
• 5+ years shaping solution, application, cloud, or enterprise architectures.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and services.
• Hands-on AI/ML and generative AI solution design and implementation.
• Strong data platforms, governance, analytics, and data strategy experience.
• Proficient in C#, Python, SQL and modern software development frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and DevOps.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred.
• Azure certifications like Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure AI Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and own cloud and AI architecture aligned to business strategy.
• Lead Azure platform engineering and migrations.
• Architect AI/ML and generative AI solutions.
• Drive data platform strategy using Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
• Establish architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud-native apps.
• Lead delivery across programs with technical oversight and governance.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance in designs.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate strategy into scalable tech solutions.
• Mentor engineering teams on architecture, cloud, AI, and development practices.
• Develop and maintain Azure & AI roadmap aligned to priorities and trends.
