Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a Principal AI Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer in a fully remote role. You will define target-state architectures and enterprise platform strategies while guiding product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure cloud and AI solutions.

Some travel to Chattanooga for final interviews is required. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in cloud infrastructure, hands-on experience with Azure/AWS/GCP migrations, and strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required.
8+ years of Infrastructure Cloud and Software Engineering experience.
Experience leading large-scale Azure/AWS/GCP migrations and Azure cloud delivery.
Automation and development best practices for cloud modernization.
Enterprise network design including segmentation, encryption, logging, and monitoring.
Experience with Linux/Windows operating systems and firewalls.
Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Splunk, New Relic, Logstash, CloudTrail).

Responsibilities

Provide SME on cloud architecture and infrastructure engineering to IT and business teams.
Collaborate across product management, architecture, software engineering, and infrastructure to operationalize DevOps processes.
Translate technical requirements into business terms and communicate risks to stakeholders.
Produce high-level and low-level design diagrams and workflows for leadership and technical teams.
Work with Reliability Engineering to implement cloud monitoring tools.
Manage project life cycle from design to operation transition and hyper care.
Participate in troubleshooting and Level 3 engineering support for infra and apps.
