Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Principal AI Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer for a fully remote position. You will define target-state architectures, enterprise platform strategies, and guide product and engineering teams in delivering scalable, secure cloud and AI solutions.

Role requires extensive cloud infra experience, leadership, and collaboration across IT and business units. Some travel to Chattanooga, TN HQ may be required for final interviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required.
• 8+ years of Infrastructure Cloud Infrastructure and Software Engineering experience.
• Enterprise cloud strategy and architecture experience.
• Experience leading large Azure/AWS/GCP migrations and Azure project delivery.
• Automation and development best practices for cloud app modernization.
• Enterprise network design including segmentation, encryption, logging and monitoring.
• Experience with firewalls, network authentication controls, and Linux/Windows OS.
• Logging/monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Logstash, CloudTrail.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on cloud architecture and cloud infrastructure engineering to IT and business teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Software Engineering, and Infrastructure to operationalize DevOps processes and tools.
• Translate technical requirements into business terms and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Produce high-level and low-level design diagrams and workflows for leadership and technical teams.
• Work with Reliability Engineering teams to implement cloud-specific monitoring tools.
• Manage project lifecycle from design to cutover, hyper care and operation transition.
• Participate in problem solving and level 3 engineering support for infra and apps.
