Prime Therapeutics is a purpose-driven PBM focused on connecting care for our clients. The Principal Actuary role supports the development of actuarial concepts, provides thought leadership, and leads complex pricing and modeling initiatives across all lines of business in a remote setup.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, mentor actuarial staff, monitor health-policy changes, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science, economics, or finance.
• Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA).
• 8 years of actuarial work experience, including 6 years in a healthcare organization or PBM.
• Eligible to work in the United States without a work visa or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as an SME with underwriters, other Prime teams, and senior management on pricing initiatives, data analyses, and the RFP process.
• Lead, manage, and review data analyses, reporting, and projections.
• Conduct ad‑hoc complex pharmacy data mining and analyses to investigate and answer challenging actuarial questions.
• Provide strategic pricing advice on structures and methodology using market research, financial projections, and complex actuarial modeling.
• Present results and analyses to key stakeholders, senior management, and clients, answering detailed questions regarding actuarial data.
• Lead and mentor Actuarial team members to enhance their knowledge.
• Monitor the health‑policy environment and assess its implications for pricing policies, laws, and political changes that may impact client programs.
• Ensure all work complies with federal regulations and actuarial standards, as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
