Job summary

SHI International is seeking a Manager of Presales Engineering to lead a team of engineers and specialists in delivering enterprise technology solutions. You will coach, train, and develop engineers, and participate in customer meetings to move deals forward and close them with the team.

The role is remote with a home office setup; 35% travel, and requires 5+ years in pre-sales, plus 3 years in complex data center/cloud/security opportunities, and 2 years coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a Pre-Sales Technical role.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with complex Data Center, Cloud, Collaboration, Security, and Network sales opportunities.
• Minimum 2 years of development and coaching experience.
• Position requires 35% travel for business.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with CIO/CTO and IT Directors to sell, build relationships and uncover opportunities.
• Collaborating with sales team to help close deals by speaking to the technical side of recommended solutions.
• Engaging the Local Technology Community (MFGs and SI Partners) and the appropriate customer technical personnel to establish market credibility.
• Strategically training sales team on the positioning of company solution practices, ensuring they understand customers' ongoing enterprise needs.
• Monitoring employee performance and attendance records, providing actionable feedback, and driving employee recognition.
