Job summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking a Precast Refractory Technical Specialist to support North American customers remotely with extensive travel. You will partner with Sales and R&D to propose solutions, perform field measurements, and assist mold design and fabrication.

Role emphasizes manufacturing support, field trials, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in refractories or related industrial environments.
• Knowledge of refractory materials, applications, and steelmaking practices.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to present to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel extensively (75%+) across North America.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to understand customer requirements and recommend precast refractory solutions.
• Conduct field measurements and assessments to support mold design and fabrication.
• Support manufacturing processes related to production of precast refractory components.
• Coordinate product trials at customer sites to evaluate performance and gather feedback.
• Document and communicate product quality results to customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with R&D on new product development and continuous improvement.
