Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Pre-Reg/Pre-Cert Specialist to support patient registration remotely. You will identify patients eligible for pre-registration, collect demographic and insurance information, and enter data into the registration system to enable pre-service processes.

Responsibilities include conducting interviews, verifying third-party payer data, coordinating with clinics and billing teams, and ensuring compliance with insurance rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience in Epic preferred.
• 1+ years of prior experience in pre-registration or prior authorization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works reports daily according to duty specifications to retrieve all un-contacted patients prior to service.
• Conducts telephone interviews as needed with patients to elicit demographic information and third-party payer data.
• Enters patient data directly into registration systems and ensures MSPQ is completed when appropriate.
• Verifies third party payer dependent eligibility, certificate and group numbers, co-payment and deductible amounts, statement mailing address, etc.
• Works closely with clinics, hospital ancillary departments, and patient financial advisors regarding potential complications regarding insurance coverage.
