Physicians East, P.A. is seeking a QEC Pre Procedure Screening Nurse for a part-time remote position in Greenville, NC.

The role reviews patient charts and conducts pre-procedure screening to verify eligibility for procedures in the ASC, identify potential clinical concerns, and coordinate with care teams to ensure patients are prepared. The ideal candidate is a Licensed Practice Nurse or Registered Nurse with critical care or endoscopy experience, able to work up to 25 hours per week, Monday

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts prior to scheduling to determine appropriateness for procedures.
• Identify medical conditions, medications, or factors that may require additional review or clearance before scheduling.
• Obtain and review outside medical records, test results, or clearance documentation when needed.
• Identify patients who may need to be referred to or evaluated at an alternative level of care.
• Complete pre-admission calls with patients to obtain and verify medical history, medications, allergies, prior anesthesia history, and other pertinent information.
