Job summary

Columbia Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center seeks a PRN Registered Nurse to provide pre and post procedural care in our outpatient endoscopy setting. This role requires professionalism, compassion and strong patient advocacy.

Shifts are Monday-Friday, with morning hours; candidate must hold SC RN license or compact, CPR and ACLS, and have ICU or PACU experience. You will join a collaborative team ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active South Carolina RN license or compact state license.
• CPR certification and ACLS certification.
• One year of ICU, Outpatient surgical prep/recovery, PACU, Endoscopy experience.
• Outgoing, positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess and monitor patient status and document per policy.
• Organizes nursing activities efficiently.
• Use proper techniques and procedures per accepted standards.
• Address patient needs specific to the procedure.
• Provide comfort and reassurance to each patient.
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe continuity of care.
• Supervise and direct patient care in pre, intra and post-op.

Our center is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse that is skilled, compassionate, professional, and is committed to providing excellent quality care in an Outpatient Endoscopy Center. You will play a critical role in providing pre and post procedural care for endoscopy procedures.

Available shifts Monday-Friday, 6:45 am-3 pm and 7:45 am-4:00 pm.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Outgoing, positive attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.
• Ability to think critically, make logical decisions, and solve problems.
• Strong ethical and moral character references
• Proficient and respectful communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of nursing techniques.
• Basic computer skills
• One (1) year of ICU, Outpatient surgical prep/recovery, PACU, Endoscopy.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
