Job summary

Energy Exemplar is seeking a senior candidate to join the EMEA Solutions team. You will bridge power trading customers with the PLEXOS platform, applying fundamental modelling to support pre-trade and post-trade decisions.

This role involves direct engagement with trading desks across the EMEA region, plus pre-sales and post-sales customer success responsibilities. You should have deep knowledge of electricity markets, strong scripting in Python, and experience with trading desk workflows as

Qualifications

Knowledge of electricity markets and power trading.
5-7 years in energy markets with strong economics fundamentals.
Experience with optimization/unit commitment tools.

Responsibilities

Engage with power trading customers to refine models for trading decisions.
Lead requirements sessions with trading teams to understand goals.
Design modelling approaches using PLEXOS for price forecasting and dispatch optimization.
Provide guidance on best practices for market modelling in trading contexts.
Develop PoC studies and deliver technical demos for pre-trade analysis and risk management.
Train trading teams to use PLEXOS effectively for decision support.
