Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a field engineer to test and commission protective relays and substation equipment across the upper Midwest. You’ll work from home and drive to substations within your territory, providing hands-on start-ups and data collection services.

Dominant tasks include interpreting schematics, troubleshooting on HV systems, and communicating findings to customers and project leads. The role requires travel and flexibility with hours to support regional utility sites.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5+ years in utility or substation relay testing and commissioning.
• Hands‑on experience with relay test sets and relay software (SEL, GE or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in EE or related field, or equivalent experience.

Aufgaben

• Test and commission protective relays, control schemes and substation equipment on transmission and distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot, run start-ups and collect test data on HV equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and DC elementaries.
• Work independently on site, and report findings to customers and project leads.
