Westinghouse Electric Company, via WECTEC Staffing Services, seeks an Entry-Level Power System Planning Engineer for a 1-year contract. The role supports renewable energy and transmission projects, collecting inputs, maintaining docs, and tracking studies with internal teams and consultants.

The candidate will learn power system analysis tools and assist in modeling for solar, wind, and battery projects, reporting to the onsite manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).
• Interest in power systems, renewable energy, and transmission planning.
• Interest in learning power system analysis tools and modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Collect engineering drawings and technical datasheets as inputs for modeling and studies.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications, and equipment data for project documentation.
• Track status of studies and provide required data inputs to keep studies on schedule.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to technical discussions with guidance from senior engineers.
• Learn and apply industry-standard software tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and PSLF.
• Support creation and validation of models for solar, wind, and battery projects.
• Help monitor interconnection requirements and document impacts for internal use.
• Prepare draft reports, presentations, and communications for review by senior staff.
