Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company and WECTEC Staffing Services are seeking an entry-level Power System Planning Engineer (Level 1) for a 1-year contract in Juno Beach, FL. You will support renewable energy and transmission projects, collecting inputs, maintaining documentation, and tracking study progress with senior staff.

Responsibilities include learning industry tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen and PSLF, modeling and validating solar, wind and battery projects, and preparing draft reports for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
Interest in power systems, renewable energy, and transmission planning.

Responsibilities

Collect engineering data and inputs for modeling and studies.
Maintain organized records of drawings and equipment data.
Participate in team meetings and discuss technical topics with guidance.
Assist in basic power flow, voltage, and stability studies under supervision.
Learn and apply PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, PSLF.
Support model creation and validation for solar, wind, and battery projects.
Prepare drafts of reports and presentations for review.
