Westinghouse Electric Company seeks an Entry-Level Power System Planning Engineer through WECTEC Staffing Services for a 1-year contract. This onsite role in Florida focuses on supporting renewable energy and transmission studies, collecting data, and maintaining project documentation.

You will learn and apply PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and PSLF tools while collaborating with senior engineers. Remote candidates may be considered; relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Interest in power systems, renewable energy, and transmission planning.
• Interest in learning power system analysis tools and modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Collect engineering drawings and datasheets for modeling and studies.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications, and equipment data.
• Track status of studies and provide required information to keep progress on schedule.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to technical discussions with guidance from senior engineers.
• Learn and apply software tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, PSLF.
• Support creation and validation of models for solar, wind, and battery projects.
• Help monitor interconnection requirements and document impacts for internal use.
• Prepare drafts of reports, presentations, and communications for review.
