Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Power Plant Subject Matter Expert (Electrical Engineer) to apply expertise in electrical design, operation, maintenance, and interconnection of power generation facilities. Role supports transactional due diligence in a fast-paced team environment, with opportunities for career growth.

Fully remote within the United States with possible travel up to 25%. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years in the field required; PE licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years in electrical operation, maintenance or design of power assets.
• Experience with AC/DC electrical systems, controls and protection relaying.
• PE licensure is preferred.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design and interconnection review of power plant, substation, and transmission projects and prepare reports.
• Attend project meetings to confirm status of site construction, operation and maintenance.
• Manage client engagements and ongoing relationships with investors, developers, banks and DOE/EIA.
• Present work product results and findings to client executives.
• Conduct business development activities with clients and prospects.
• Support projects and project team members collaborating with other colleagues and managers.
• Develop and expand key client relationships.
