Job summary

NovaSource Power Services, in Chandler, AZ, seeks an experienced Power Plant Maintenance Engineer II to provide Electrical and Protection engineering expertise to a global fleet. The role supports HV/MV assets, protection relays, and system testing from a remote-capable position with hybrid/remote options.

You will work with Field Service Technicians, customers, and internal teams to plan value-added services, update protection settings, and contribute to continuous asset optimization of solar,

Qualifications

5+ years of High Voltage substation engineering experience.
Experience with SEL protection relays (SEL-351, SEL-735, SEL-487E, SEL-387, SEL-311L).
Experience with RTAC equipment (SEL-3530) and GE/ABB relays is a plus.

Responsibilities

Respond to daily maintenance engineering requests for the global fleet.
Analyze breaker mis-operations and relay events; review related drawings and tests.
Review preventative maintenance testing reports and provide recommendations.
Retrieve and analyze site drawings, one-line diagrams, and protection data.
Travel up to 15% locally or internationally for site visits and training.
