Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Power Plant Subject Matter Expert (Electrical Engineer) to apply deep knowledge of electrical design, operation and interconnection for power generation facilities. The role requires collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients across a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience, PE licensure preferred, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required with 8+ years in electrical operation, maintenance and/or design of power assets.
• Experience with wind, solar, battery storage, or thermal generation.
• PE licensure preferred.
• Up to 25% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design and interconnection review for power plant, substation, and transmission projects.
• Attend project meetings to confirm site construction and operation status.
• Manage client engagements and relationships with investors, developers, banks, and advisors.
• Present work product findings to client executives.
• Conduct business development activities with clients and prospects.
• Support project teams; collaborate with colleagues and managers.
• Develop and expand key client relationships.
