Job summary

Ladders is seeking an Energy Market Consultant for a fully remote role focused on power markets, asset valuations, and portfolio forecasting across North America. You will translate market data into clear recommendations for utilities and financial institutions, combining quantitative analysis with market research and technical writing.

The position emphasizes client-facing work, collaboration with a growing consulting practice, and access to specialized tools for market simulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 8–12 years experience or Master's + 6–10 years experience
• Strong knowledge of major U.S. regional power markets
• Proficiency with Aurora, ProMod, or similar tools
• Excel data analysis skills
• Excellent client communication and technical writing

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing asset and portfolio market projections and valuations
• Draft consulting work products, including market reports for diverse clients
• Conduct independent and collaborative market research and analysis
• Model operations of power generation assets using proprietary/licensed tools
• Contribute to new approaches for evaluating emerging issues in North America energy sector
