• Develop and implement the R&D deployment strategy for the area(s).
• Manage one or more technical programs and ensure financial results.
• Oversee succession planning, hiring, performance management and staff development.
• Select qualified internal staff and contractors; frame statements of work.
• Direct the work to meet technical and financial milestones.
• Provide guidance within company policy and program advisory structures.
