Job summary

Sigma Technologies is hiring for a Power Distribution and Make Ready Designer (Remote) to support overhead pole design and make-ready projects for electric utilities. The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and growth, with work from Roanoke, VA and a required two-week orientation at our Perrysburg, OH headquarters.

You will review field data, assess attachment conditions, model pole loading, determine make-ready needs, and prepare construction-ready deliverables using AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Experience in overhead utility pole design and distribution engineering.
• NESC application and clearance analysis experience preferred.
• Preparation of construction-ready design packages and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Execute make-ready or distribution design work orders to meet quality, time, and budget goals.
• Apply NESC requirements and internal standards to designs.
• Review field/walkout data and model pole loading for accurate deliverables.
• Collaborate with team to resolve design challenges and ensure compliance.
